About Mali

Mali is a gardening companion app for iOS and Android that puts your whole garden in one clever place: plan beds, identify plants, catch diseases early and time the watering just right. At its heart is Sidney — an AI plant expert with a personality, who knows your actual plants, your weather and your care history instead of answering like a generic chatbot. Photograph a plant and she reads its health and writes back what to do; ask her what to sow and she counts back from your own hardiness zone and frost dates. Indoor and outdoor plants live side by side. The gardening itself is free — planting, watering, feeding, designing beds and logging check-ins — and only the AI is metered, with a monthly free allowance. माली (māli) means “the gardener” in Sanskrit; มะลิ (mali) is “jasmine” in Thai.
